A little about me:
Welcome!
I’m Dr. Hayley Crain, a child psychologist and mom with ADHD, dyslexia, and a side of anxiety (the trifecta, ha). I often joke that sometimes I know too much… but that doesn’t mean I nail it as a parent all the time. It does mean I’m REALLY freaking good at overthinking and I might get to the solution a little faster.
I started this work because when I was little, I was given so many tools and supports, and I wanted to pass those same gifts along to others. As someone who truly gets the ups and downs, my personal experience helps me connect with families in a real, no-judgment way.
As I earned my master’s and doctorate in psychology, I worked in various clinical and academic settings across the country, gaining hands-on experience supporting children and families. My training continued with an internship, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship, totaling eight years of education and specialized training.
After years of clinical work, research, teaching, and mentoring as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I worked in diverse environments, from large hospital systems to my private practice. Now, I’m back in Milwaukee, raising my two kids in the community where I grew up—bringing everything I’ve learned to the families I support every day.
This is a community for support. My goal is to make parenting feel just a little easier by sharing clear guidance, practical tools, and a space where we can all be in it together. I’m happy you’re here!Dr. Hayley Crain
